M.E.D. Community Thrift Store is a division of Foundation for Educational Development, Inc., a non-profit organization, supported entirely by tax-deductible gifts from churches, civic groups, corporate donations, grants, foundations, individuals and planned giving. M.E.D. Community Thrift Store derived from a very dear business partner and trusted friend, Mary Eleanor Diener. She was the inspiration for a community development program such as this. In honor of her memory the name was dedicated in her memory. I also had a desire to play an intricate role in the community. I felt compelled to begin my endeavor with a Thrift store in Four oaks, NC. This is my way of giving back to my community. My business partner Lt. Billie Williams will be retiring June 29, 2012, after a successful career in Law Enforcement, of which 23 years have been with the Four Oaks Police Department. He will continue to serve the community through the services M.E.D. Community Thrift store will offer.
